Dr. Faiza Khurshid

Dr. Khurshid is currently working as the Medical Director of NICU and newborn nurseries at Mount Sinai Hospital and an associate professor at the University of Toronto since Feb 2025. She completed her fellowship in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine at the University of Toronto and then joined the Department of Pediatrics at Queen’s University in Kingston in 2013. She served as the Medical Director and Division Chief of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and Newborn Service at Kingston Health Sciences Centre (KHSC) from 2018-2024. She holds a Master’s degree in Health Care Quality (HQ) from Queen’s University and has been actively involved in quality improvement activities within and outside the organization. She has received independent research grants, published papers in peer-reviewed journals, contributed a chapter to a neonatal medicine textbook, and presented abstracts at numerous medical conferences.
